Here at Puppy Paws and Kisses we believe in doing everything in our power to provide our puppies with the best head start on life that we possibly can. That begins before they are born by selectively pairing our dams and sires together in order to best compliment each other in temperament and structure.
Once the puppies are born we make sure they kept warm, are able to nurse and are gaining adequately. Once the puppies reach three days of age, we begin ENS. ENS (early neurological stimulation) exercises help accustom our puppies to human touch, helps form a bond with our puppies, improves heart rates, stronger heart beats, stronger stress tolerance and therefore stronger natural resistance to diseases.
As they begin to explore the world around them we make sure to introduce new 'novelty' items for them to explore and build confidence in themselves. They are also exposed to different noises to help build their nerve strength. Our puppies are introduced to the outside world (weather permitting) and unfamiliar rooms as they're growing.
Our puppies are on a deworming schedule and will have received his or her first puppy vaccines by the time they are ready to leave. We give Pyrantel at 2 & 4 weeks of age, Toltrazuril at 6 weeks and a combination of Safeguard and Toltrazuril at 7 weeks for five days in a row. NeoPar is given at 6 weeks of age, Nobivac-DAPPv (5-way) at 7 weeks and Bordetella at 8 weeks. If I have a puppy going home at exactly 8 weeks, I will make sure they receive their Bordetella vaccine a day or two early so I can monitor against any vaccine reactions. Each puppy will leave here with a folder of vaccines given + date it was administered and their deworming schedule they were on. We also send a scent blanket home with them. We scent our blankets (or toy) by rubbing it over their littermates and mom to help with their first couple days home and provide a source of comfort.
We will provide you with our one year health guarantee/contract. Our health guarantee gives you a peace of mind by saying that we believe in the puppies we produce and will stand behind them should anything unexpected pop up. The contact states that your new puppy must be seen by a licensed veterinarian within three business days for a check up to validate good health. In the event that you are no longer able to keep your puppy, at any point in their life, they are to be returned to our care and should never be relinquished to a shelter, pound, testing facility, etc... We will always take the puppies back that are our responsibility β€β€
